Boules
Description
Boules is a popular recreational sport in the Rhine-Neckar region, and is played on many designated boules pitches. A handful of clubs, in which German and French as well as other nationals are active, are keeping boules alive as a recreational sport with tournaments and celebrations. But amateur sports enthusiasts also meet when the weather is good, and play boules on sandy surfaces to the accompaniment of wine, bread, and cheese.
