Description
The Swiss Association Helvetia Mannheim was founded in October 1864 and has offered Swiss nationals in the Rhine-Neckar region assistance in social, professional, and cultural matters. Swiss migration to the Rhine-Neckar region during the industrialisation left its mark not only through the founding of Helvetia Mannheim, but also in the regional economy and urban society. The founding of the company Roche as well as the introduction of dung as an effective fertiliser can be attributed to the commitment of the Swiss in Mannheim.
