Description
Bharatanatyam is a Tamil dance. Dancing is a passion which makes us feel free. Moreover, dancing is a symbol of our friendship. Bharatanatyam is also known as a temple dance as it is mainly danced there. Before the dance performance begins, certain rules have to be observed. For example, it is prohibited to wear shoes while dancing as it is seen as being disrespectful to God. Dance plays an important role in our Tamil culture because it is an important event in Hinduism, and should bring joy to people.
