Imzad
Description
Tuaregs are well-known beyond the Sahara for Imuhar music. I have brought an Imzad, which is a single-stringed violin from the Tuareg region. For historical reasons, only women are allowed to play this instrument. In the past, Tuareg women wanted to stop the war between two Tuareg groups, but did not know how. They made an Imzad and the music from this instrument was so magical that both sides ended the war immediately.
