Description
The Angklang is a fascinating musical instrument made of bamboo. It is an important part of our cultural life, especially in West Java. It can be played alone, but its particular beauty and significance lie in playing together in harmony. The Angklang brings everyone together. The harmony arises only through cooperation, patience, listening to each other, and of course, joy in playing. I have been leading the Angklang group of the German-Indonesian Society in Mannheim since 2006.
