The Mask Dance and the Kola Nut Ritual
Description
The Kola nut is a symbol of connection. We Igbos in Nigeria use it in ceremonies to greet guests. Before every Kola Nut Ritual the nut is cleaned and shared with all the people present. The mask dance is for selected men and calls upon the spirits to participate in the gathering.
