Yavuz Sultan Selim Mosque
Description
A street in Jungbusch: on the one side the Yavuz Sultan Selim Mosque, across of it the old Church of Our Lady, and the Synagogue only a few hundred metres away. This constellation is unique and lively. It is creating history in Mannheim by showing the world that people of diverse religious backgrounds can mutually respect each other and accept people of other faiths. There is no better example in Western Europe except in Istanbul-Kuzguncuk and Antioch.
