Saint Lucy´s Day
Description
Saint Lucy´s Day on 13th December is Sweden´s most important folk festival. We celebrate it with a procession in which the oldest girl goes as Lucia and the other girls follow her in white costumes carrying candles. Lucia wears a wreath of candles on her head. Every year there is a beauty pageant in Sweden to pick an official Lucia.
