Cajón
Description
The Cajón originally comes from Peru, but in the meantime, it is played by musicians all over the world. Cajones were originally made from shipping crates used by African slaves as a substitute for the traditional drums which were taken away from them. Drumming played a significant role in many aspects of community life and provided a sense of belonging.
