Kudkuran
Description
In the Philippines, the coconut has many uses. I mainly use it in cooking here in Germany. In order to do so, I need a coconut grater which I made myself. We call it kudkuran in the Filipino language. You are probably asking yourself why I did not just buy coconut milk at the supermarket. Firstly, I know exactly what I am using. Secondly, the aroma of the coconut makes me want to exclaim “Ah, I am at home!” When I smell it, I feel happy and free.
